This Cookie Policy explains how Simor Consulting (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, remember your preferences, and help us understand how the site is used.

How we use cookies

We group cookies into the following categories:

• Strictly necessary (always on): Required for core site functionality such as page navigation and security. These do not require consent.
• Analytics and advertising (optional): Help us understand how the site is used (Google Analytics 4), measure which of our ads bring visitors and enquiries (OpenAI Ads, Google Ads), and show our ads to past visitors (Google Ads). These run only if you consent. “Accept all” covers all of them.

Cookies we may set

• Essential site cookies: session and security cookies necessary to deliver pages and forms.
• Analytics cookies (only if you consent):
  • _ga, _ga_*: Google Analytics 4 identifiers used to distinguish users and sessions.
• Ad measurement cookies, set by the OpenAI Ads measurement pixel (only if you consent):
  • __oppref: records that you arrived from one of our ChatGPT ads. Kept for 30 days.
  • __obref: a random browser reference for this site, used to match a later enquiry or booking to an ad. Kept for 365 days.
  • __oaiq_consent: stores your ad measurement choice for the pixel. Kept for 30 days.
  • The pixel also keeps its consent choice in your browser’s local storage (oaiq_consent) and session storage (oaiq_cs: entries). These go when you withdraw consent.
• Google advertising cookies (only if you consent):
  • _gcl_*: Google Ads click and conversion identifiers, used to measure our Google ads.
  • Google may also set its own advertising cookies on Google domains, such as IDE and NID, under Google’s privacy policy.

Analytics data is configured to avoid including personally identifiable information and, where available, IP anonymisation is used. Our Privacy Policy explains what the OpenAI pixel and Google advertising do with your visit.

Your choices

• You can accept or reject non‑essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit. If you reject them, we do not load Google Analytics, Google advertising or the OpenAI pixel. If we add a new purpose, we ask you again.
• You can update your choices at any time: Open Cookie Settings. When you withdraw consent, we delete the OpenAI pixel cookies from your browser.
• You can also control cookies through your browser settings; however, blocking some cookies may impact site functionality.
